Ducting & Ventilation Installation in Jakarta
After 12 years as an HVAC engineer on projects across Greater Jakarta, I can say one thing with confidence: 80% of factory ventilation problems are not caused by undersized fans — they are caused by badly calculated ductwork. A 10,000 CFM fan connected to undersized ducting produces nothing but noise and air that never reaches the work floor.
That is why every ducting project here starts with a calculation, not a catalogue. We work out the required air changes per hour for each space, convert that to CFM, and only then size the ducting, choose the sheet grade and place the diffusers. Fabrication is done in our own workshop from 0.5–1.0 mm galvanized (BJLS) sheet — not bought off the shelf — so dimensions always match site conditions exactly.
Scope of work
- Supply & return ducting — rectangular and spiral galvanized ductwork, with or without glasswool/PU insulation.
- Factory & warehouse ventilation — wall exhaust fans, powered roof ventilators, filtered fresh-air systems for production areas.
- Process exhaust — extraction routes for process fumes, dust and machine heat, complete with dampers and cleaning access.
- Accessories — diffusers, grilles, volume control dampers, fire dampers, flexible connections and sound attenuators.
- Reworking existing systems — re-balancing, replacing corroded sections and adding outlets for new production layouts.
Cost estimate
Ducting in Jakarta is priced per square metre of installed sheet. As a 2026 baseline:
- Galvanized 0.5 mm ducting, uninsulated — from IDR 350,000/m² installed.
- Galvanized ducting with glasswool + foil insulation — from IDR 480,000/m².
- Industrial exhaust fans, installed — from IDR 4.5 million/unit depending on CFM.
The final figure depends on sheet thickness, installation height and site access — a factory with a 12-metre ceiling is a different job from a two-storey shop-house. A written BoQ is free after the survey; full local rates are on our pricing page (in Indonesian).
How we work
The workflow is identical on every project, from a shop-house to a factory — so you always know exactly where things stand:
- Site survey (free) — we visit, measure the area, check installation routes, electrical capacity and structure. In factories we also note the production processes that drive heat loads.
- BoQ & working drawings — within 2–5 working days you receive a written bill of quantity, material specifications and drawings. The price we quote is the price we invoice.
- Installation — K3- and BNSP-certified crews work to the agreed schedule, including nights and weekends when production cannot stop.
- Testing & commissioning — airflow, temperature and electrical readings are documented in a commissioning report, followed by handover with a written 12-month warranty.
We install ducting across Greater Jakarta — most often in the Cikarang and Karawang industrial estates and the Tangerang warehousing corridor. If your project is still on paper, start with HVAC design & engineering so duct dimensions are locked in at the drawing stage. For kitchen extraction, see commercial kitchen exhaust.
