Cold Storage & Cold Room Installation in Jakarta
Cold storage is the one HVAC system whose failure converts directly into money: one night with a dead compressor, one container of frozen product written off. After 12 years building cold rooms for F&B and logistics clients, my principles are simple — conservative design, components with parts available in Indonesia, and temperature alarms that someone actually watches.
We build chiller rooms (0–10°C), freezer rooms (-18 to -25°C) and blast freezers (-35°C) from scratch: load calculations based on product and door-opening frequency, polyurethane sandwich panels, the refrigeration plant, commissioning and operator training. For existing facilities we provide maintenance and repair on every brand.
Scope of work
- New cold room construction — 75–150 mm PU panels, insulated floors with heater mats, sliding/swing doors, strip curtains.
- Refrigeration plant — semi-hermetic or scroll compressors, condensing units, evaporators, piping and digital temperature control.
- Blast freezers & anterooms — designed for rapid freezing per product batch capacity.
- Monitoring & alarms — automatic temperature logging, SMS/WhatsApp alerts when temperature drifts out of range.
- Maintenance & repair — defrost faults, refrigerant leaks, compressor replacement, panel repair.
Cost estimate
Baseline installed prices in Jakarta, 2026:
- Chiller room 0–10°C — from IDR 4.5 million/m³ for small volumes, decreasing with size.
- Freezer room -20°C — from IDR 6 million/m³.
- Turnkey 100 m³ cold store — typically IDR 450–700 million depending on design temperature and compressor brand.
- Maintenance contract — from IDR 3.5 million/month including routine visits and emergency priority.
Exact figures depend heavily on target temperature, product and loading frequency. The BoQ is free after a survey.
How we work
The workflow is identical on every project, from a shop-house to a factory — so you always know exactly where things stand:
- Site survey (free) — we visit, measure the area, check installation routes, electrical capacity and structure. In factories we also note the production processes that drive heat loads.
- BoQ & working drawings — within 2–5 working days you receive a written bill of quantity, material specifications and drawings. The price we quote is the price we invoice.
- Installation — K3- and BNSP-certified crews work to the agreed schedule, including nights and weekends when production cannot stop.
- Testing & commissioning — airflow, temperature and electrical readings are documented in a commissioning report, followed by handover with a written 12-month warranty.
